Description The mk1 standard issue assault-harness worn by the groundforces of TERA-collonies all over the world. Here is the original gray/black armor, it also comes in black/flektarn, black/OD and black/multicam depending on the type of terrain the sparc-operatives are deployed.

More to come, this is just the first edition of the harness.

Nice, it reminds me of Starship Troopers armor, but in a better way!

A construction video or just a video of you putting it ona nd taking it off to see how flexible or rigid it is would be awesome. It looks great!

From an military (former enlisted) point of view, this thing looks positively wonderful. With the right materials it could very well be a flex-armor worn closer to the body to stop any shrapnel and projectiles that may have penetrated the unit's outer armor.

Get a patent on this bad-boy quick if it's yours originally.

Now for airsoft/larp/what-have-you, this looks as great stand-alone armor, and the quick detach points located all over (not to mention the webbing, and spaces between/around the plates) make me positively giddy. You pair this up with the right throat and rear-neck protection (not a ballistics collar mind you, but detachable pieces that offer mild protection without interfering with mobility and aiming), then add on the shoulder pads and this beast is set.

Not to mention, this is only the upper torso! With such a flowing, lightweight, and ergonomic design, I can only imaging how many sheets are filling a folder with S.P.A.R.C all over it. My main question is, do you general size it the way the military does (declassified specs of older and no longer issued armor is available), or through standard sizing?

Also, like many before me, I an heavily interested in taking part of the S.P.A.R.C group, and would love to try to promote (upaid and unofficially, of course) this. I too cannot find and sites on the net, but would definitely love another reason to strap my gear back on so I can put boots on the ground and send fire (AIRSOFT!!!) downrange!

Thank you! Well, as I also have military experience I worked really hard trying to make a lightweight shrappnel-proof platform to base the sparc-.armors off of, and this came out really nice! Movement is next to never constricted and it weighs about half of what a normal shrappnel-vest does, so Im pleased

These plate-armors are generally onesize as they are adjustable in two sectors. 1 is the basic platelocations where you fasten some of the plates together to form a general build. 2 is regulating the straps to fit the use of different clothings underneath (BDU, NBCs, and theoretically: scuba)

Well our first big event is taking plae this okt in Sweden and after that both videos, blogs, sitres, etc will spring up to helt the S.P.A.R.C-universe grow! Stay tuned in to my page and you will get links when the boll is in motion!

That ur doing is amazing. Everything.

What i do ask myself bout this, how do u add to this armor smthg?
I mean, knife? Magazine? Or its not made for carry smthg. Just for the fight? ^^

Greets

Sharpener In reply to Dagaard [2012-05-27 18:14:22 +0000 UTC]

Well Its made to be worn with a loadbearing belt for ammo and utilities. Ergo it is not to be worn during extended periods of time. There are some recently made add-ons that can be attatched to this harness that allows one to attatch smaller items (knife, grenades, flashlights etc)

I love this design. Its light and functional. I'm sure the clasps make it easy to remove.
I wonder how much it would cost to convince you to create an armor harness similar to this with a handful obvious modifications. I wouldn't want to wear your squad's armor, but I LOVE the design.

I'd love to at least check it out. At the risk of imposing, would you happen to know any place I could find the information? I did a quick internet dig and didn't turn up anything useful.

it would be awsome if you could tell me how to make my own one of these, most likely with less expensive material. maybe make something like it and do some sort of tutorial here on deviant. there seems to be a lack of good tutorials on how to build sturdy armor like this all over the internet.

well that old version is just made in plasticsheets but the new ones will be made in c15, sc300, celplastics and actual kevlar Know that that older version sure isn't perfect in construction though=/

This is very impressive. I really like the details. I was wondering is it possible I use this image for a manipulation and blending. I'm doing an Avengers poster as an fan art. It's just a hobby of mine which I only will upload it in DA. I would be glad to hear your answer.

Well this particcular one I would prefer to keep to myself as the design is specifically drawn out for s.p.a.r.c and the larp/roleplaying community it inhabits If you where to REALLY modify it I guess that would be ok though (like, beyond recognition). Sorry about that

TSABER In reply to Sharpener [2009-07-09 00:54:28 +0000 UTC]

I understand. But if you're %100 ok with it, that will be great. I would also mention you and put a link to you page (which I do the same for every member in DA that I use their stocks).
