Description So I stand here in front of a crowd of my peers, their family, and my teachers, people wiping tears from their eyes, as I'm speaking at a podium in a dress and the hat Lady Gaga wishes she invented. I'm either having a horrible nightmare, or I'm graduating. Fortunately, this time, it seems to be the latter.

I suppose what I take the most pride in is being brave enough to do what may not be the most logical choice and my greatest mistake as not taking chances to make more of them.

This is for every girl in my life I never tried to flirt with because I was afraid she'd scold me and then proceed to bite my head off, I'm sincerely sorry.

To every house I could have pulled pranks on, every rule I wanted to break but didn't just because I didn't want to get grounded the next day, I'm sorry.

To every dare I didn't do because I was scared of the inevitable social consequences and ridicule, I'm sorry.

And to every friend and enemy I've made, and to every awkward, stupid mistake I've ever made in our times together, you're welcome for the memories.

The most beautiful thing in life is that everyone makes mistakes. The worst thing we can do is to not take the chance to possibly do things because we're afraid of screwing up. If you never make many mistakes in your life, you're obviously doing it all wrong.

You'll never know how great a sick day can feel until you eat that cake you should have checked the expiration date on. You'll never know how much you love all those trimmings on your burgers until you forget to ask for it plain.

So, don't be afraid to make mistakes. Life is bittersweet, so take a bite and roll it around on your tongue to where it feels right. Don't be afraid. When you're lost and indecisive, choose action over inaction. Don't let fear coerce you into traveling the road of conformity, because you want as little traffic as possible.

So go and take that first step. If you fall down, you've made a mistake. And that means you're doing it right.
