Description Here is my new hobby; keeping Crystal Red Shrimp (CRS). What you can see here is a 'Grade A' one and is about 1 inch long.

Grading systems are complex and vary from region to region so be aware of that.

So pretty!
I got my own Nano-tank and next week I can put in the animals
Question, is this kind of shrimp hard to breed?

Yeah its actually quite hard to breed. You may want to start with the simpler Cherry Shrimps first. Are you in a tropical area?

Unfortunatly I don't live in a tropical area.. North Europe isn't what you call tropical haha. And two weeks ago I started with a small group of Cherry Shrimps! They're so cute and always busy!

maybe instead of taking photos I can collect higher grades of them from ocean and sell to you!
makes better money than it's photo

just kidding. it's a nice hobby to have an aquarium at home but it's just not for me...

for flash I used a SB800 in subal housing usually in TTL mode
And as a second strobe Sea&Sea 90X

ok thanks! - i already own a SB800, guess just have to buy the housing for it now ya? is 1 more strobe enough light? ppl have been telling me to get 2 strobes

carettacaretta In reply to sharpion [2007-07-18 20:26:32 +0000 UTC]

infact only sb800 is enough at the beginning.
I usually take first photos with sb800 in TTL mode to be sure if the subject is fast moving.
After that I start to use second strobe in manuel mode.

Also many times I dived for macro shots with only one flash which is better way to learn how to use it properly. Yes with the single flash you have the harsh shadows and I guess people mention about it. But I think after you're completely ok with single flash you can add second one to your equipment. Single flash is absolutely enough for most of the situations.

Also if you use extereme wide angle (10.5 fisheye for example) you may need second flash too.
Hope it helps

I'm using nexus and really works great.
ports are excellent. even you change the body you can stil keep ports.
I'm not sure but maybe you can find mint condition second hand D70 housing.
