you are right, I see people every where saying that OS X is "linux" instead of BSD, since when did Linux replace UNIX?

Linux is UNIX-like system

if u add "System"  at the end , if you take out each first letter it would spell "Linus"  Linux Is Not (silent) a Unix System

of course Linux isn't Unix, Unix was an OS and Linux is just a clone (of a clone) of one of one of its kernels
