Burrbelly was born with his sister Violet to a pretty lilac rouge by the name of Lavender. They had never known their father, and life was quiet- that was until their mother disappeared while hunting. The kits were only a few moons old, but the managed to scrape by, eventually finding her body half submerged in a stream. The two grew close, settling back into their life.
A group of rouges found the two and took them under their wing, allowing the kits to meet new cats and learn how to socialize with other cats than their family. They became close friends with a pair of siblings around their age- Bracken and Rose. The rouges were harsh and moved around almost constantly, but the kits were happy.

• Apprenticeship: -

It seemed their peace couldn't last, as when Burr, Violet, and Rose were playing, Burr got his front paw caught in a twoleg trap. He tried to escape, but ended up only injuring himself further, breaking another leg. Violet sent Rose to go get help but by the time she returned with the rouges and Bracken, it was too late to do anything. His leg was far beyond saving, and the rouges left him for dead on what is now Nightclan territory, bringing his sister and friends with them.

•Lonership -

Burrbelly managed to survive on three paws, even learning medicine, always just staying alive. He traded herbs for food, learning to trap and stalk prey on three paws, and simply learned to live.

• Medicine Cathood: -

Then, the clans arrived. They took in the injured cat and identified his potential as a medicine cat. He worked under the medicine cat they had brought from their old home, blossoming under their care. They were gone all too soon, though, and Burrbelly became the new medicine cat.
One day, in the light of dawn, two cats wandered onto the territory. Cats who's faces he knew- though he didn't know where from. The cats introduced themselves as Violet and Bracken, and the three-legged tom jumped to action, quick to reunite with his friend and sister.
