Roonan Commander Bedag Rena was member of the sentient species known as Roonans, from the Expansion Region world of Roona. As one of the short, bipedal humanoids with blue, almond-shaped eyes known as the Roonans that possessed fairly large, oval heads with wrinkled skin and small ears and tiny teeth. Considered highly particular, and saw the slightest mistake as a deep insult, they had long been members of the Galactic Republic, but even before the Battle of Naboo some of them were Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum's actions and their impact on the stability of the Republic. Even the Roonan Senator Edcel Bar Gane himself with the influential yet corrupt Senators Orn Free Taa, Passel Argente, and Toonbuck Toora and supported Senator Palpatine. Despite that some Roonan, like Bedag Rena were fed up with the Galactic Republic and joined the Separatist Alliance during the Separatist Crisis, like Bedag Rena, who had been part of an anti-space piracy group in the Rim and actually agreed with the need of the Conglomerates and individual member worlds to increase their police and military forces and capabilities, as the Galactic Republic simply was incapable to enforce law and order in all parts of the Galaxy on their own. During the Clone Wars, another Roonan Senator; Aang, was an important member of the Senate Military Oversight Committee, which was why Rena viewed him as a traitor and hoped he would secretly use this position to tie down and limit the Republic from inside. Despite this hope, the Roonan Commander Bedag Rena himself preferred a more direct approach to counter, stop and End the shortcomings and problems of the Galactic Republic, by directly fighting it and restoring their member worlds and species capability to leave and make their own decisions to secure, stabilize and prosper if they did wish to do so. Because of that Bedag Rena was among the very devote Separatist Commanders fighting for an ideal and his believes, not just a simple job for a cooperation because of credits in some way, shape or form. Quit a skilled Separatist Commander, Roonan Bedag Rena therefore attempted to defeat the Republic whenever he could.
Pushing the Republic back at the Liberation of the Rim, Roonan Commander Bedag Rena was nearly killed during the later following Droid Rebellion, or Droid Uprising, that dealt a heavy blow to the mainly Battle Droid Army and Navy powered Confederation of Independent Systems. After these losses, Roonan Commander Rena aided in the Bacta War to secure and supply the Bacta needed by the Confederacy, so that the previous losses would not be so devastating and massive on the long run. After these battles, fighting and war, Commander Bedag Rana would retire, but aid the Separatists one last time, by aiding his genetic sample, upon thousands and millions of others among their scientific, economic, military and political leadership, or outstanding workers that were chosen for cloning to not only replace the losses of the past conflicts and wars, but to one day compete with the human, or near-human superior numbers of the Republic, Empire and the Deep Core by spreading much more non-human aliens, or even new, mixed species designed specifically as Biodroids, or cheap labor forces for the Separatist Conglomerates. This allowed them slowly but steady to increase the number of Confederacy Citizens, but at the same time new problems and questions arose, like if these Clones or Droids if sentient enough and self-aware should be allowed to vote, especially if it was to easy to implement near-complete and constant loyalty to the Conglomerate that had created them, growing the danger of increasingly influence of these massive conglomerates in democratic voting decisions without bribing Senators, or those voting directly, but by simply having those voting created by them always do so in their favor, either conscious, or unconscious. Because of that heated debates in the Confederate Parliament, Confederate Council and Confederate Senate if these Clones or Droid even should be allowed full voting capabilities, if their votes should be restricted to internal decisions of the conglomerates, species and worlds creating them, if their vote should not count fully as those of freely created organic and droid beings without such possible implanted loyalties, or if a new system should be found and ultimately implemented for them.
