Big ass file alert.This is a tutorial I've done right after I did the DeviantCan portrait.
Yup, it's a long time ago.
So anyways here's a walkthrough of how I usually get things done for the human hair.
Even though it's human eye brow, I use the similiar method to do the human hair as well.
Hope you guys can understand this tutorial. It's very long. Literally long.

Created in Photoshop or Illustrator?
Trying to figure out which program is better to use to vector,
Photoshop = easyish
Illustrator = very hard, for me anyway. too use to photoshop.

i did it in photoshop. i would recommend the method that you're most comfortable doing because you'll be spending lots of time with the software. well at least i did.

Amazing, thank you so much... All my vector eyebrows/hair are just one solid piece and this helps a lot to make mine a bit more complex/realistic.

Very good tutorial..
I guess there's just no easy way of doing eyebrows (or hair) in vector. You just have to be patient. I'll keep in mind the technique you outlined when I get a little better at vectors.

This is incredibly helpful, and awesome, Derek! I keep hoping for a cool tutorial from you folks that knows what you're doing about how to do good looking shading and different skin tones and such, but if it never comes, I'll be happy drooling over your art!

Oh my God...this is one of the most useful tutorials I have ever run across, instant save! I've struggled with vector brows for quite some time. I use a similar method to this, but it's much harder, this definately offers some ease. Thank you soooo much!
