A thousand words left unsaidThe moon is full, an empty bed
A million thoughts race through my head
The path I followed, the path you led.
Crystal tears frame my eyes
At the thought of no good-byes,
No tender kiss to break these ties,
No haunting whispers, no sweet lies.
An open window in the room,
The retched cause of your early doom.
The room itself, a stinking tomb,
Causes nagging guilt and regrets to loom.
True, I knew more than most
But not about the final dose,
I should have known, we were so close,
But now you're gone, no final toast.
Allow me here, one last prayer
If I may dare,
To wish you well in this new lair,
A wish for you to have no slight care.
Now I leave you, soul and all,
My heart and soul, my floor and wall.
