well as all my rl friends know, i went to the official star trek convention in san francisco on january 23rd. it was awesome!

i dressed in my rumpleteazer cosplay, and said i was data's cat, spot. i had no idea what to wear, but then i remembered: catgirls are welcome at every convention!

from left to right: (top) this lady was dressed as an andorian, and she was the first person in costume i saw at the con. me and my dad had our picture taken. more andorians. (bottom) this guy was like 7 feet talll, no joke, and he was the best klingon there in my opinion. this guy was the first klingon i saw, and he actually spoke klingon as well! this girl was dressed as t'pring, spock's betrothed, and actually looks just like her.

i bought some spock ears (the last in the whole convention ) and a star trek patch and pin.
william shatner and sir patrick stewart were scheduled to be there the next day, but it cost $60 dollars more to get in that day, and is cost $100 to get a picture with shatner, and $200 to get a picture with stewart.
there were a couple of minor character actors, mostly from next generation, like the ferengii, a couple klingon actors, and such.

but the best part was seeing the people in costume!!! there were a bunch of people in starfleet uniforms, both from the original and next gen, and even voyager and deep space nine. there was a little nine year old boy dressed as spock, with the uniform, ears, and even a similar haircut! ^_^ then there was a star trek family, with the dad dressed as captian kirk, the mom as uhura, and their toddler son dressed as chekhov, and their baby son as spock (without the ears).

it was my first con, and hopefully not my last, as i plan to go to wondercon!
