Anna Watson is the sister of Philip Watson and the aunt of Mary Jane Watson.

After the divorce of her brother Philip and her sister-in-law Madeline, Anna took in their daughter Mary Jane. When Mary Jane was thirteen, her aunt and her friend May Parker arranged a dinner plan to introduce her to May's nephew, Peter.

Unlike the Anna Watson of the 90's Spider-Man series, Anna is quite fond of Peter, described him as reliable and considerate, a perfect example of a well behaved young man. This Anna I made trust Peter and shares May's opinion on him and Mary Jane being together. She dislikes Harry Osborne, expressing disapproval of his lack of responsibility and claiming him to be arrogant, selfish and corrupt like his father Norman.
