At first, i thought of Mac Gargan as a employee at the Daily Bugle, a photographer and a rival for Peter similar to Eddie Brock in the original comic.

Next, i thought of him as a wimpy, timid, clumsy associate of Hammerhead, trying to find out who Spider-man really is.

But now, here i came up with Mac Gargan as an African-American who resembles a young Steven Quincy Urkel from Family Matter, a geek/nerd mines the enthusiasm and clumsiness, but bears the same IQ as the character.
