Description Just submitting this to make sure it works right and see what people think. Should I continue to make the comic this way or keep it the original way I've been doing my comics?

Don't mind the typos...

This type of narrative works just fine, it's common for images to be static when a character is being deep in thought. Flash stories and comics are really fun to read. I admit to rapidly pressing the <- and -> at the start to make the embers dance around. It was a cool effect to see how the lighting 'danced' on Digit and his Digimon's form. Also enjoyed the softening of his expression in the white slides.

One problem, and this maybe the fault of my monitor but I recommend lighter tones for the bits of text that are on dark backdrops. The text on the pure white background that was gray with the black outlines looked kinda blurry, probably because of how the outline makes it look like the characters are merging together.

That said though, I was able to read it fine enough.

I always love your comments, very in-depth. I liked the thought of you clicking the arrows keys to see the embers dance. I was hoping that people would enjoy the little movement I added in the images.

I'll try to lighten up the text and fix the blurry text so it's easier to read. Thank you very much for your input.

works fine for me~

Although i have a preference for more drawings rather than more text. But like the others said, whatever you feel more comfortable with , itll be great either way

Don't worry, Digit is just very deep in thought at the moment. There will be less talking and more action later on in the comic lol.

Yea...I kinda forgot to give any directions on how it works. I'll make sure to do that when I post the actually comic.

This was cool.

Are you going to try doing comic pages this way? (Like panels and stuff)

ShellYeah In reply to akie-tara [2010-10-13 03:12:52 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Glad ya like it.
No there won't be any panels, just single images per page.

akie-tara In reply to ShellYeah [2010-10-13 11:48:27 +0000 UTC]

Well it's still cool.

You may want to consider some small panels at certain action points.

I prefer the traditional page by page comic, but put together in flash. It's cool whichever way though ^v^)

I've always done the traditional comics but I saw someone do a flash comic and I thought it was really cool so I wanted to try it out for myself. I like being able to make things kinda move with actually animating it.

Honestly I'm fine with both formats, I prefer flash because you don't spam people's inboxes with 100+ pages and it's easier to navigate through pages this way.
I think you should do whatever you think suits you entry best, and you cold go for this format for the sake of experimenting.

Anyways, I like how this is coming along :]

Yea I've never done anything like this before and I'm really enjoying it. I like being able to make things kinda move without actually animating it hehe.

Awesome

lucky, I've never seen flash before so I'm not sure how to get it or if its a program and it can be sold in a store

ShellYeah In reply to spud133 [2010-10-13 02:33:56 +0000 UTC]

Yea it's sold in stores. It's made by Adobe, same company that makes Photoshop. I'm surprised you've never heard of it before.

It takes a bit of time to load and then you have to click on the image before you use the arrow keys to go to the next page.
