Description
This is a remake of my original character Takeru the Armoured Wolf, which I drew 15 years ago. The original drawing is one of my earliest drawings of him. He has evolved to be cooler and cuter this time. 🤗
I was active on Deviant Art at the time, or rather, almost nowhere else for that matter except Deviant Art, so people on other social networking sites are almost certainly unaware of my drawings and Takeru.

I think it was relatively rare to see characters of armoured beasts (including dragons) back then.
Nowadays, these type of characters are more common, though. My favourite Lightning Dragon (Dragon Village M), Ryudamon (Digimon), Zacian from Pokémon, and so on.
There was an old manga by Yoshihiro Takahashi, famous for the Ginga series, called 'Gamu', in which battle scenes involving ninja dogs in armour were very cool, and I was strongly influenced by it. I like the motif of samurai and ninja and beasts (especially wolves and dogs). (Akame in the Ginga series is also very attractive...)
This time, I added a forehead pad to the usual kuwagata, as if it were the front part of a kabuto (samurai's helmet). It's a little bit influenced by Lightning Dragon and Ryudamon. ^^
