In all economic systems you will find this because it is a characteristic of human relations
The way our society relates is through exchanges
People exchange their present things for things that, in their view, have a greater value
You blame capitalism and money for "" forcing "" people to work to survive
The point is that without capitalism or with it, that would not change because humanity has always been related through voluntary exchanges
Ancient tribes traded their flesh in surplus for weapons, leaves or utensils from other tribes
This is because both tribes saw the exchange as beneficial, otherwise it would not occur
Over time this method has evolved
Money and money were only means of mediating the exchange since it was very complicated and difficult to know how many kilos of meat for example would be equivalent to how many kilos of other material, which would be of extreme importance to know if the exchange would be beneficial or not
And when you say that it's bad that people have to work to get money if they do not die, you're wanting things to be given freely to people, only
1- There is no free lunch
2 - If people start giving generational things, it will generate fewer things because everything has a cost of production and if people do not sell for profit they will go into a giant deficit that will make it impossible to bring the same goods to others

All the injustices of the world are caused by our debts in our current and past lives. You can't just destroy the law of karma no matter how hard you try. Also many people couldn't resist corruption as soon as they got the power to redistribute wealth, more like redistributing wealth to their own pockets. There will always be a hierarchy of sorts in any society, differences in wealth, etc.
If we wanted education, we should learn mainly by ourselves. If we wanted food, we have to work and do good deeds, instead of robbery like Commie bandits did in Maoist China! Equality means fairness, means equal opportunities and chances for salvation and good things, while also enforcing the law of karma. If you do wrong, you'll suffer. If you do right, you'll prosper.
Why can a lazy person get to enjoy free stuffs while the hardworking person gets all their stuffs forcibly robbed away? That's just another excuse for robbery.
