It's some supposedly unfounded scientific study. People who believe the theory say that we'll be extinct because of the recessive gene but non-believers say that while the gene is recessive and red hair is rare, there's no chance of them going extinct if redheads keep reproducing.

ACtually I think on a subconscious level, the animated Starfire was a bit of an inspiration. I suppose Morgalla rests somewhere between the comic and cartoon.
