Description
I actually seriously had this nightmare the night before I played for the first time (which would be, y'know... last week). No lie. I did not make this up.Luckily during the actual game I rolled MUCH better numbers and my fighter kicked some ass.

I had a dream I was playing Baldur's gate on the computer. No joke. Sitting in my chair just continuing where I left off before I went to bed.

this is why I'm against randomly rolling characters
I prefer point systems instead

Roleplaying is the best thing ever, and if you get a good GM and you roll crappytastic, they let you try again But I hope that you've gamed enough between then and now that you've played more than once~

I'm a music geek. XD
I once had a dream where I lost my singing voice and all I could do was croak like that Primmadonna from The Phantom of the Opera...
It really horrified me. I'm not even joking.

I have nightmares about finding shiny Pokemon on my DS and making them faint so I can't catch them, and loosing my Warhammer figures... I, too, am a geek.
And proud.

Oh my god that's hilarious, but I think that's Geeky ness, not to be confused with nerdy ness. We geeks find that insulting. P.s i belive that the level system should start at a 100 and go down (just my opinion)
great work!!!!

You're welcome for that image.

Ah, the joys, the pain...played these things since 1978, m' dear, and it never gets easier...at least, not for my dice.
You could always try one method our resident former math major came up with once, should you worry about rolling-character-suckage again (guaranteed to have an average of 15s!):
Roll 4d6. Throw out the worst die result and sum the remaining three dice. Do this NINE TIMES. Throw out the worst three total results of those. Add up the resulting six stat numbers together. If they total 81 or less, repeat (if your dice act up like mine, do this many, many, many times).
Once they add up to 82 or greater, toss in an additional 6 points to spend as you see fit before the racial modifiers. No stat can be lowered below 8 or raised above 18 by using said points, but that's what racial mods are for.
Enjoy what remains of your gaming session.

Why be ashamed of your nerdiness? Your nerdiness inspired how many strips of Head Trip?
And the internet cherishes them all.

Letting me learn Orc was a mistake.

Should be pride, for sure.
Tabletop RPGs kick ass. And I've actually had bad rolls like that. But at that point my Uncle, the DM, looks at my paper and goes, "yeah, no way is your character dying after the first fight" and makes me re-roll.
(I haven't died yet, yay!)

I was a wizard....yeah, creepy thing is... IT CAME TRUE! and i was adn on top of that whenever i rolled to heal someone i got a crit.... if i didnt kill myself wile fighting, that is. it was horrible, i was healing more than our healer! lol she was kinda mad about that.....

My physical abilities sucked once after I rolled badly at creating.
My team members laughed when I picked a druid.
I was just the healing bitch.
Untill I was able to morph into a dire grizzly and turned against them.
They stopped laughing as I slaughtered them.
Good times.
Thank god for the evil druid Blighter presige class.
