The June 2006 topic on MGC was "the 1970s"... so of course, I had to be a complete smartass about it.
So here you are... what Demona was up to in those mysterious few years that we never had explained in the show.<3 Gargoyles.

that this is the closest to human bonding she has, or that she has become the parent wanting to avoid talking of her wild past to her kid.

Demona (awakens from drug-induced stupor): "My head. What happened last night?"
Demona (sees naked human men beside her, and white stains on the bedsheets): "Filthy human! How dare you...!"
Hippy 1 (awakens): "Whoa, you still have wings? Last night's batch of marijuana must be stronger than I thought!"
Hippy 2 (awakens): "I got to get more, if it keeps me stoned past morning!"
Demona (realizes the hippies assume her appearance is a drug-induced hallucination): "I'm not human, you filth! I'm a gargoyle!"
Hippy 1: "I got the munchies real bad. I'm gonna get some food. You want anything?"
Hippy 2: "Three Happy Meals from McDonalds! Three! I needΒ three to fill me up!"
Hippy 2 (turns towards Demona): "How about you, honey?"
Demona (hears her stomach growl, and stops before she claws out the hippies' eyes): "I'll have two."

It was with the invention of pot that Demona began having second thoughts about destroying mankind. However, those second thoughts were flushed down the loo when the same people who invented such a joyous substance would later make it illegal. And so, without her precious pot to keep her content, Demona is back to being the discontented human-hating she-wolf she now is.
