She looks like a Halona to me...or a Theophilia, which ever sounds better.
Also, I have a REALLY hard time drawing female gargoyles without having them look like Angela. So she looks awesome!

She's not Brooklyn's daughter, nor related at all. Her name, I decided later, is Sonne. She's German, not Scottish, so... yeah, not in the same clan as Goliath and them at all.

I'd just recently purchased some My Little Pony DVDS - for old time's and memories sake, mind you . . . childhood stuff . . . and there was this boy pony character who was some star and all. His name just suddenly popped into my head. Fits the colors and all, and as a gargoyle goes she lives at night.
Sooo . . . I dunno. Love the artwork though.

Gomen nasai, shinga-chan for jumping all over the naming of this female after you said she is nameless. I should have left it alone, but the setup was too sweet to pass up.
In preparation for writing 'On wings of light' the story of Delilah's last weeks I worked out all the matings and hatchlings for my version of the Wyvern Clan through 2100. One of Brooklyn's grandsons ends up going to Ishimura and never coming back. For her to be Sensuii's hatchling and to have lived the life I described above the timing would be rather tight but it wouldn't be impossible...

This is something of a p.s. I meant to add to my last message. Your picture above reminds me of a series of similar stills that was done for the fanfic writer The Barracuda a number of months ago. The pics done for him were a mix of canon characters and his own original characters; were you the artist that did the great work for him?

as for name... I went to [link] and switch the oppsions of the search to "This meaning" and put in 'dark' (hey it does fit!)... my personal fav from the list was Darcie meaning "of the dark" in English. I use that web page a lot though for names, it really helps.

Thanks for the link, Bardstale, but after looking over the list I favored Daray over Darcie to be 2nd on a list of possible names after Kemurikage. Besides it being from her Greatgrand- father's homeland it's a touch more exotic than Darcie.

"Whoa," said Brooklyn, pausing to look at a photo on the wall. The gallery in the annex to the main hall of the Isimura Clan was the biggest nod to the current era in the compound. Three rows of 8X6 photos ran down each long wall. The red male's attention was on a picture of a dark skinned female in a watchful crouch. "Who's that?"
The family's guide, the Clan Second, who was temporarily escorting the four esteemed visitors while the leader of the Clan was tying up a bit of business elsewhere, looked at the indicated photo.
"She does draw the eye, does she not, Brooklyn-sama?" They both nodded. "That female was one of the Clan's best hunters for many years. She was hatched here but her father's family line was largely from distant Clans."
"She has passed then," asked Sata, before making a subdued chiding noise at Arianna so the young female would desist in yanking at her hand.
"Hai, more than 20 years ago. She taught for as long as her failing eyesight allowed her before climbing Mt. Zao alone to find the place where she could return to the mountain."
The two adults nodded slowly, respectfully. "What was her name," asked Brooklyn after a time, his eyes still on her.
"She was one of several of her generation in this part of the world who would not take a name, deciding to follow the ancient traditions. She only answered to dark hunter, or warrior, but the Clan had a name for her that was used when they spoke of her between themselves." The Second turned back to gaze at the photo for a few seconds.
"The Clan called her Smokeshadow."

With all the confusion in the east, why not pick a spot of importance and name her? Being Canadian (I can't remember if you're American, Canadian, or otherwise) I'd name her Lebanon due to all the current events. Wonderful me don't even know if I misspelled Lebanon.

if memory serves, Gargoyles didn't fancy naming each other (Except for tribe leaders apparently). that's why they named themselves after NY landmarks when they awoken in present time. Soooo.... how's about... darn, all the good ones are taken.
