I love your tutorials equal to the amount that I hate drawing hands. That means a lot. Damn all those dexterous fingers!
This is definitely helpful in reminding me of some of the finer points of hand depicting. I tend to blank out on the proper attachment of the thumb. Accursed thumb!

You're welcome! It is weird. Hands are so wonderfully expressive, but that's the same thing that makes it harder to draw them. The answer to all my drawing issues? More anatomy classes.

I love your tutorials, I have to agree with how it gets boring to see hands behind backs (though I can't really talk about that... I'm actually just starting to *gasp* use hands properly). This kind of inspires me to do a tutorial on canine teeth maybe... so many people draw canines, but they don't know the correct anatomy of the most important part for expressions in them it seems.

I find that if I'm ever in doubt of a hand pose, I take pictures of my own hand from the angle I will want to draw it at. This is sometimes hard since I'll want to take a picture of the back of my left hand, resting at the side. But it helps, even if you get a "somewhat" picture! This tutorial iz teh awesome!
