That's always the way: practice until your brain falls out. And yet somehow practice eludes me. I can't stand trying to to lineart over my pencilwork. Ever. At all. Although I have. I do it. But then COLORING, well THAT is just mind numbing. So I stick to solids. But I wish I didn't.

Well, the best way to practice is to draw something you like doing but with some new element. So if you really like drawing... chinchillas for example, draw them except this time really focus on the coloring (if you're trying to teach yourself colors). Or if you want to learn to draw realistically, then use photos of... chinchillas or whatever and use that love to fuel some artistic growth

I really like how you drew Hyla. Her irises are such a pale blue but just enough colour to emphasise her eyes. And I don't know why but the old dude rocks so hard. Maybe it's the epic jaw.

I'm going through my old favorites and I wanted to say that I really like your digital art. It looks like someone with very small hands fingerpainted them. Did you use meatspace sketches for these, or are they only digital?

Haha, thanks(?) XD The ones that are digital were done entirely on computer, I don't waste time scanning in stuff anymore (which is a shame. I'm much too reliant on photoshop nowadays.)

What's with the parenthesis question mark parenthesis? Tiny-fingers painting is definitely a good thing. Perhaps the fingers are from elves. Or possibly gnomes.
I'm feeling like I'm too reliant on my sketchbook. Whenever I try to make something from the ground up in photoshop I zoom way in and focus on the little fiddly details while the overall picture goes to crap. What I like about these pictures is how coherent they are as single things.
I shall continue to experiment.

lol actually yeah I do practice (aka procrastinate/ doodle) all the time XD Don't feel like a failure! Actually the key to improving is having people who know what they're doing crit you and kick your ass a lot, so I dunno, maybe you should find a way to feel like a failure D:

Your art is always somewhat fluid. It makes it more appealing to the eyes.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone else saw it like this, but the black and white Luca with the cool red sash thing (even though the clothing is somewhat different) struck me as somewhat Sweeney-ish in atmosphere...

No. Not so much in the clothing as it was the effect of the bright red in a black and white image.
But I like the sash. Seems very eastern European-esque.

I love Angora, especially the eye and the hair tendrils. The hands seem a little weird though, especially her left one.

simply love your expressions, looks like Luca hit the sauce a little too hard recently... the expression of green haired girl (top middle) is just awesome... such a trouble maker, or her expression casts her to be anyway, Very much looking forward to the site.
