hehe I had a lot of fun showing him too. I ended up finding a bunch of things I didn't even know existed, and confirmed some theories about the Meek. Then I watched avatar for the first time in foreevver. It was awesome.

I'm awful with facial expressions, so I've been going through a bunch of the completed 25 expression challenges comparing faces to figure what characteristics make for what expression.
And I just had to log in to say- your "silly" has got to be my favorite panel out of everything I've looked at today.

Seeing all of these expressions in one spot makes it all the more apparent to me how subtle you work is. The fact that he's drawn with an open mouth only about four times is really indicative toward his character. I take it he's rather reserved?
I especially love how similar the sad and pleased expressions are. I feel like if I were in this story I wouldn't be able to tell what he was thinking all the time. 8D

Hehe, I'm glad you noticed! Yes, he is reserved... he's also missing his upper front incisors so he tends to keep his mouth shut (even though he has dentures).

At rage u did smt wrong with the eyes. u made them a bit bigger, but when u are on za rage thingy, ur eyes should look a little like angry u know, V shaped eyebrows and stuff.

Some other people have commented this too, but I had a reason... in his culture anger is expressed through baring teeth and looking scary, not so much through scowling!

These are good, but some dont read like "rage", "pleased", or "sad". I'd say on some like that u gotta push them just a little more. all and all though, cool stuff, disgusted is my fav
