Description Updated his history!
Oh my babies a warrior now! I am so proud, this fellow was my first ever kit character. )

(Wow, this is my 6th cat for this group. . . . I never thought I would have this many cats in any group. But I can’t seem to stop for this one, I have made 9 cats for the group total. Leafstar, the legendary founder of LeafClan, Snowrose the nursery matron and Stormwind her elder of a mate, all 3 NPCs. My first for the group was Shiningheart, the loyal LeafClan deputy. It made sense at the time to make her brother the honorable Shadowfire next, both have their roots in a clan long gone now. My 3rd cat was Willow, one of my favorite characters to date. There’s so much more to her then meets the eye. She was made so I could encourage role playing in the smaller and less active clans. Next was Heartwood, he is Shiningheart and Shadowfires father and was made for plot line reasons. Number 5 is Dashkit, this little sweet heart I adopted or perhaps am fostering would be a better term. Left un-adopted he would soon have joined his cousin in StarClan, I wanted to give him another chance at a future. And this little fellow is the latest. A kit found in the cold and adopted by the clan. He was originally created for the FlameGlass litter, but fate would prevent him from being born with them.
)

Name: Frostfire
Clan: LeafClan
Rank: Warrior
Former Mentor: Woodpelt
Apprentice: Happypaw
Previous apprentices: Oakstrike, Birdchaser,
Gender: Tom
Age: 12 moons and counting
Pelt: Flame sepia, Orange base with slightly darker points.
Eyes: Icy blue eyes

Personality:
So right now Frostfire is not his normal self really. He's had a hard time of things and he is rather withdrawn. A bit on the cold side. He is not as curious as he used to be and doesn't have much energy for anything beyond what the Clan needs. He is quiet and efficient, but he doesn't talk much and keeps to himself. He's not given up enough to stop eating or to leave the Clan but his heart really isn't in things very much anymore.

He is a very cheerful cat, a bit of a goof really. He loves playing pranks and starting games. With a strong streak of mischief he often gets into trouble. He’s a little bit arrogant and thinks he is better than most other cats, though he does not often express this opinion. He is very curious and likes to question everything.   He can also be quiet and uncertain. He is a very intelligent tom and watches almost every thing.
Frostfire does not like dimwitted cats, or cats who do not think for themselves. And he has a high level of disdain for morons.

History:
Kit
Found half frozen by a LeafClan patrol as a kit, he was adopted by/adopted as his family two of the she-cats who were part of the patrol, Mudeyes and Sparklestar. When they took him back to camp he was looked over by Fernheart, the medicine cat, warmed and cared for before being passed to the only queen who was producing milk.  The young tom also was adopted by Glasspool and some of her kits as well as her mate Flamestripe.  Though the young Frostkit thought that based off of his actions that Flamestripe was a mom as well. As he grew he did not make friends easily, preferring on the whole the company of the sharper minds of warriors like Goosefeather and Mudeyes to that of his fellow kits.  The only kit he truly became close to was his adopted sister Auburnsun.
During this time he also made friends with a bouncy and boisterous tom by the name of Loudspirit (Loudpaw at the time). Not a sharp genius like Mudeyes or Goosefeather, perhaps they were drawn together by the exact fact that they were opposites. Loudspirit brought out some of the best in Frostfire and helped him to become a bit more personable.
Apprentice
As he grew he was a bit aloof from the clan, though his continuing time with Loudspirit, now a warrior continued to help him from becoming as sharp as he might have. He enjoyed his time with his mentor Woodpelt but it was not really what he craved for and spent a lot of his time exploring alone.
Warrior
As a young warrior Frostfire was proud of his achievements and pleased to see his good friend Loudspirit become a father.
When he was named mentor to the bright young tom Oakpaw he was more than a little surprised.  He had not expected Sparklestar to give him an apprentice so soon after becoming a warrior. He soon learned, and much to his pleasure that his new apprentice was a little like him, with a joy for learning that mirrored his own.
All too soon after becoming a warrior tragedy entered into his life.  A tree weakened by the poor weather and storms crashed down and took the lives of Glasspool, Mudeyes, and Auburnsun in one fell swoop.  To make matters worse the last remaining of him mother’s, Sparklestar had disappeared leaving the clan. This was a blow that hit far too close to home for the young tom.  He had lost his whole family all at once as a kit, and he could not even remember their faces.  He had found and built a new family here in LeafClan, and now he was deathly afraid that it was happening all over again, afraid that he would lose them all.
How this will affect the young tom, who knows. . . . We shall have to wait and see.

Mate: No mate yet, hopeful though

If you want to know his opinion of your cat RP with him. If I have forgotten anyone feel free to let me know.
Mudeyes: My mommy
You were the one like me, the smart one. I will never forget all that you taught me. Rest well.
Glasspool : And my other mommy
You treated me just like your other kits, I love you.
Auburnsun, Foxspirit, Rustfall, Burntstripe, My adopted brothers and sisters, all gone now, gone away. I wish you could have stayed longer, especially you Auburnsin. And Fox, Rust, I am so, so sorry. If I had known I would never have joined Mallowstripe and her group. I hope you can forgive me one day, I hope I can forgive myself one day.. . . .

Sparklestar: And my mommy

Flamestripe: And he says he's not a mommy, but he sure acts like them. . .
// Loudspirit: Loudpaw is awesome! He's like a new big brother for me! We play and talk and train and its GREAT!

/ Goosefeather: She's really nice. And smart like me too.  I had hoped to be your apprentice when I was little.
Oakpaw: An apprentice, who thought giving me one of these was a good idea?
//(A) Gracefuldancer: She’s a sweet young cat. She reminds me of something I can’t quite place.

//(he definitely thinks she's attractive and is about 3/4 the way to having a crush on her. Edit: She more or less slapped him in the face with a dead fish for falling to tears, he's in love. )  Viperstrike: She's fascinating, a lot like me I think, neither of us make friends easily. And unlike a lot of cats around camp she's not a moron, if fact she's pretty smart. A little sharp, but I kind of like that. She's no push over for sure! /// She's quite something else. She really is.  I don't think I've ever met anyone like her before. She wants to be leader one day, its not a role I've ever pictured for myself, but I think I'd like to help her do it. She's got such a bright laugh, *sighs* it chases away my shadows. I, I like making her laugh. . . I would do almost anything to protect her and Loudspirit, they are my family and important to me.

Sure thing! c:

Gracefuldancer padded along as the clans continued to move forward towards their destination. The grey she-cat wasn't overly fond of not knowing where they were going but she was at least glad that they were getting away from the twolegs and neither one of her kits had gotten lost or hurt in the chaos so far. She knew she hadn't been as social as she used to be, but she decided the journey could give her an opportunity to try and approach others. She decided that she would start off with cats from her own clan and when she looked around she noticed a familiar orange pelt who she assumed was Frostfire. She slowly worked her way through the crowd and went to stand next to him. "Hi there Frostfire." She said with a small smile.

“Gracefuldancer! Its good to see you again.” Frostfire meowed happily. It had been too long since he had spent time with the silvery gray she-cat. He had been restless for the last handful of days though he didn’t know why. A longer scouting patrol had kept him away from the Clans and he had just recently arrived back cycling onto guard duty around the moving cats instead. At the moment he was free though and glad for the company. “It had been way to long.” he meowed as his tail curled up in greeting to her. He brushed his head against her shoulder friendly.

The gray she-cat was glad to see the firey tom she had spoken with before on occasion. She missed having more company now that Brighteyes wasn't around, and for some reason being surrounded by such a large group of cats seemed to make it worse. She was thankful to have seen Frostfire at that moment so she wasn't by herself for the time being, of course there was her family, but she didn't have as many good friends as she would have liked. "It's great to see you too. I think I'll chalk up our lack of interaction to the fact that I'd been busy with the twins." The she-cat chuckled slightly at the thought of her twin sons growing up, they had been a bit of a handful at times, but she always had help.

Frostfire laughed. “Those two certainly looked like handfuls.” The orangy tom was pleased to see that she had done so well for herself. “I think you did a good job with them.”
“It can’t have been easy without Brighteyes. So now that your kiddos are grown or mostly so what have you been up to?” The orangy tom waved his tail gently. The journey had been keeping him busy and he hadn’t spent much time playing, he tried to make time when Viperstrike had time but the overlap wasn’t very good. He had been spending time with his apprentice Happypaw, he was beginning to like her.

Gracefuldancer smiled and laughed along with the firey tom. "Oh they definitely are, but I have to admit there was a decent amount of help from my family since Brighteyes wasn't there. The boys both were really found of Waterbreeze and I believe one grew rather close to Blackstone when he was young." The she-cat had always meant to talk to Blackstone more about Risingsnow having such a fondness for the tom but just had never gotten around to it.

The grey she-cat shrugged her shoulders, truthfully she hadn't been up to too much. Her main focus had been her kids and she hadn't had an apprentice yet so she hadn't needed to help there either. "I guess mostly just hanging around and helping where I can. With the kits needing a lot of attention I hadn't talked to as many other cats for a while. I honestly wish I had been doing more but that's really it." The she-cat laughed and looked over at them tom. "What about you? Done anything interesting lately?"

“I had seen that,” Frostfire laughed. “I don’t know about the other Clans but LeafClanners are really good seemingly at that. Finding our own family that is.” he meowed cheerfully. “I mean if you all hadn’t taken me in when I was a kit I have no idea what would have happened to me.”
He coiled his tail around his paws and shifted a little restlessly. “As for me, no, not really.” He looked a little sheepish. “Mostly I’ve been working or sleeping. I’ve really been on edge ever since those things took apart our old home. Viperstrike and I managed to escape with Shiningheart and the others, but I’ve had this sense of something just not right for a while.” He sighed and rubbed his head. “I might just be imagining things though,” he said trying to make light of the worry. “

((Deepest apologies for this late response))

Gracefuldancer was glad to be around someone who was a closer friend. Most of the cats she spoke to almost seemed a little to sad around her since she had lost her mate and all the chaos had ensued while she was raising the twins. She smiled happily, Leafclan definitely was a very family oriented clan and that surely helped everyone who lived there. "It's hard to imagine what would have happened to a lot of folks had Leafclan not been as accepting as they are. I always thought I'd taken in any kits if need be since that's a common Leafclan thing."

The grey she-cat could understand what the tom felt. It was hard to have the whole clan split happen while she was trying to raise the twins and she had felt uneasy since shortly before Brigheyes had passed. "Well I'd be extra careful then. Perhaps be looking out even more so, I know it might seem silly, but you never know when something as simple as a bad feeling could turn out to be something that actually matters." Gracefuldancer wondered what his uneasy feeling sparked from, perhaps it had to do with Viperstrike, who she knew Frostfire was close with. She didn't want to spook her fellow clanmate, but it never hurt to be a little cautious when there was a bad feeling around.

Frostfire wasn’t entirely sure what to think of the non clan cat he had been saddled with as an apprentice. Apprentices were not exactly his preferred activity and he slightly wondered if that was part of the reason he kept getting them. He didn’t really think that his mom would do it to him on purpose but if Shiningheart had her paws in it would make good sense. He looked his new apprentice up and down now that they were official, “Well then, Happypaw, tell me have you ever hunted anything before?”

suicunetobigaara In reply to Shiningstarofwinter [2017-03-20 07:21:12 +0000 UTC]

Happypaw was so excited to be a clan cat. We was going to learn to hunt and be independent, and not have to rely on others for her survival. Of course, right now she did need help, but that was so she could learn and contribute back. Besides, learning might be easy since her mentor, the cat that was going to train her, was very nice to look at.

The silver shaded, patchy tortoiseshell raised her head and tail high, as she replied, “No, Sir. I was trapped in a cage for most of my life, so I never have been able to hunt anything. I was fed on dry nibblites.”

“No hunting experience, right then.” Frostfire sighed, he didn’t even like Clan cat apprentices. “Okay then, I’m going to guess we are starting at the very most basic stuff.” Frostfire looked around, he didn’t really have a goal in mind but he was hopeful that something would catch his attention that would give him what ever it was he needed. He caught half sight of Creekfrost on the edge of things and an idea occurred to him.
“Okay, so we are going to go hunting together and for this trip I mostly want you to watch what I do. If we get lucky we’ll find something like a mouse and that will help.”

suicunetobigaara In reply to Shiningstarofwinter [2017-04-05 04:31:19 +0000 UTC]

Happypaw instantly felt bad at Frostfire’s comment, as she knew she had little to nothing to offer the clan she joined. The ginger tom was handsome, but Happypaw couldn’t help but feel he was a little blunt in his assessment of her. After all, the silver shaded tortoiseshell thought of herself as a quick learner. Still, she spent most of her life in a cage, and she didn’t have the skills that the clan born cats had. Happypaw didn’t know exactly know anything about hunting.

The apprentice’s ears perked up as Frostfire suggested that she watch what he would do during hunting, and Happypaw suddenly didn’t feel so overwhelmed. The she-cat lifted her head and tail high, and met Frostfire’s eyes.

“That sounds good Frostfire,” Happypaw said with a smile, “I promise I will watch everything you do closely.”

She did not want to be a burden.

Frostfire groomed a paw for a moment before getting to his feet and gesturing for Happypaw to follow him. Frostfire was not used to hunting in this sort of area so he knew it might take a little while longer then normal for him to find something that having been said he was getting better at hunting almost anywhere. He supposed that was at least one good thing about this whole mess. The short furred orange tom shook himself and began looking around for some sand. This was a trick he’d picked up from watching a few StoneClan warriors. When he found a sandy dusty area he sighed and turned back to his apprentice. “So if your hunting in some kinds of places it helps if you mask your pelt a bit, both color and scent.” he meowed before rolling in the sand and dust, letting the stuff dull the color of his pelt and making him smell like nothing but dirt. Frostfire grimaced as he got back to his paws and resisted the urge to shake out his fur. It wouldn’t all come off but some would.

Frostfire got up and began his normal morning routines.  Getting a bite to eat, checking the camp, a quick bit of grooming.  He was getting ready to head out of camp when he sheepishly remembered something.  He felt kind of bad about it when it hit him. He was a mentor, again. Why his adopted mother thought he was a good mentor he had no clue. He did not get along well with most kits and quite frankly never had. A new apprentice was for all intense and purposes still a kit until they had been trained a bit.
He thought as he padded back down the path and back into the main part of camp. He looked around, now that he was thinking he remembered that his new apprentice was one of his brothers kits, a few more seconds and the name floated up too. Featherkit, Featherpaw he corrected himself frowning lightly as he looked around camp, there was no sign of the fawn colored cat.  He sighed suspecting where he would find his new apprentice and headed towards the apprentice den.
“Featherpaw?” he meowed as he approached.

Featherpaw snored loudly in his new nest. He had gotten very comfortable last night and fell into deep sleep. His paws twitched as he muttered to himself while still half-asleep. He dreamed of what his first day of training would be like. What would Frostfire teach him first? He pictured himself chasing mice and doing battle training. He also thought about what he might look like as a middle-aged apprentice.
Suddenly as he heard voice in the background, he opened up one eye to see who it was. "Give me  a while longer..." he mumbled sleepily. Who was this cat? "Sparklestar hasn't made me deputy yet," he mewed softly as he began to fall back asleep. That cat was Sparklestar, though right? Just in his dream? The voice and the cat looked real though. He pushed it to the back of his head and turned around in his nest. "Warrior...Warrior..Mmm...Yeah.." Obviously he didn't know what was happening right now, though.

Frostfire could not see any movement yet but he did faintly hear his apprentice as he approached the den. He chuckled and one eyebrow rose at the comment about not making deputy yet, he had no particular ambition for that role but he admired it in others. He stuck his orange head into the apprentice den and after a moment located his apprentice.
“Hoping to be deputy one day eh Featherpaw?” he meowed his voice rich with amusement and indulgence. Then without further ado he hollered “Wake up!” in the general direction of Featherpaw.  This was not something he had tried before but it was something a small part of him had wanted to do since Kithood. He watched the result with curiosity and a slightly hopeful expression.

The voice rang in his ears and he suddenly woke up, startled. He looked in the direction it had come from, "What? You're not Sparklestar!" He blushed a bit, embarrassed, "And no, I totally do not want to become deputy. That's ridiculous." Featherpaw shook his fur and stretched in his nest. He didn't particularly know why the cat had woke him up. He felt like he was forgetting something. He studied the cat closely, trying to see if he could remember anything. The apprentice then looked outside and it hit him.
"Oh wait... My first day of training!" he gasped. "Please forgive me, Fwostfire!" He tried to make puppy eyes at him. It worked when he begged to his mother. That was probably the worst first impression he had ever given someone though. Featherpaw tried to smile, but in an embarrassedly way. "Er...how long have you been waiting, exactly?" He stared at his new mentor, wide-eyed still. He pleaded to StartClan that it wasn't long. Had he really slept till sunhigh? He had always waken up early as a kit, though!
"Sunhigh isn't that late though...right?" Featherpaw mumbled.

Frostfire thought momentarily about trying not to laugh, too late. Laughter bubbled out of his muzzle in a steady stream.  He hopped he didn’t embarrass his new apprentice too much but this was already far more entertaining then had expected.
“Nope, I’m not Sparklestar and if I’m very lucky I won’t ever be Sparklestar.” Frostfire meowed cheerfully.  “It’s not ridiculous to want to be deputy, I think most apprentices do at one point or another even if it’s only a stepping stone to being leader one day.”
He looked around the den and saw other apprentices looking around in confusion at the sudden noise. He knew he ought to feel sheepish about that, but he didn’t, he grinned.
Frostfire laughed again at the puppy eyes his apprentice was giving him. He knew that such a look would have worked great on Loudspirit, having used it a few times himself.
“Don’t worry about it too much. I wasn’t waiting long. To be completely honest I had kinda forgotten I had another apprentice now.”

"Oh, okay," he sighed with relief. "So, uhh...that wasn't a very great start to today. But we can go training now, though right? Or something related to that." Featherpaw nodded. What would he learn anyway? The basics of hunting? Basics of fighting? Would he be get to meet other warriors an apprentices? Or would he be shown the territory?
Any one of those sounded exciting to him, though. He guessed they would probably be going out to see the territory. Then, suddenly he felt a cold wave of loneliness hit him.
Today was the first day without the warmth of his mother and his littermate in the nursery. He had a feeling it would never be the same again.
Why is he sad though? He had been wanting to become an apprentice for what felt like forever.
He had an idea though, "Can Mushroompaw or Bigpaw go out with us, too?" Featherpaw looked hopefully up at Frostfire.

Frostfire pulled his head out of the apprentice den pausing a moment to wait for Featherpaw. “Your dad was a good buddy to me when I was young. In fact we are still really close.” He meowed a little out of the blue.
“I was planning to take you hunting, or possibly training. I haven’t really decided yet.” The orange tom meowed cheerfully. He padded across the camp floor heading towards the entrance to the forest. He failed to slow down for his apprentices smaller legs, but he figured it would all work out. As an apprentice he had always been running so he sort of assumed the same of Featherpaw.
He paused a moment as his apprentices most recent comments reached his ears. “Oh, you want to bring along one of your siblings.” He meowed. He thought about it for a moment and shrugged, “Sure, if they want to come it’s all good with me.” He turned back to camp and yelled “Mushroompaw! Featherpaw!”

Featherpaw followed Frostfire out of the den and then listened intently. "He was?" he mewed excitedly. "That's super cool! I'm so lucky I have you as my mentor, then." His green eyes sparkled at the thought of his new mentor and his father together.
"I think we should do training," he stated as he followed his mentor again across the camp. As they were getting further from camp, he wondered if Frostfire had heard his question earlier. Before he could speak, his mentor was already calling out. "I can go get Mushroompaw if you want. I heard that Bigpaw was going to be busy all day, though." He nodded and raced into the camp again. He called his little sister's name, hoping she would hear.
While waiting to see if she was going to come, he thought about the exciting adventures he, his father's good friend, and Mushroompaw, would have together. Calling Mushroompaw's name once more, and very loudly this time, he wondered if she was even in camp.

“I love your dad dearly, he’s like a brother to me.” Meowed Frostfire nodding. He watched as his apprentice darted back deeper into the camp. It made him miss his own siblings, all gone now.

Mushroompaw flipped to her feet. Some crazy cats were calling her name. She grumbled wondering what warrior wanted her and why. She stood shaking sand from her pelt and headed in the direction of the holler when the quieter voice of her brother caught her ears. She liked Featherpaw, Bigpaw was irritating to her and while Featherpaw was stubborn he was willing to listen to her. However being woken up from her nap did not endear him to her right at this moment. She padded towards the center of camp and looked around. She could see Featherpaw running towards her and she soon noticed Frostfire near the camps entrance.  She sighed as she realized that he had probably been the louder of the two voices calling her name.

Featherpaw raced over to Mushroompaw and mewed cheerfully, "Wanna go out with us?", and then continued again, "Frostfire still doesn't what  we're exactly going to do yet, but I'm sure it'll be fun!" The tom still couldn't believe he and his little sister were already apprentices. He tried to remember who Mushroompaw's mentor was, and he thought it might hurt to ask. He stayed silent and waved his tail, signaling for Mushroompaw to come with them. He bounded off back to his mentor, and then looked behind him to see if Mushroompaw was following.

“Yeah! I’d love to!” she meowed perking up. She had been a little disgruntled with her own mentor Mapletail for not having taken her out yet. This could be a lot of fun and she knew from experience that Frostfire was fairly manipulate able. Not nearly as much so as their father was but she’d been begging him for piggy back rides and other such things since she had been a tiny kit.
“I bet we could get him to show us the lake or some other cool place.” She chirped running the rest of the way to Featherpaw, her tail raising above her back. When Featherpaw ran to Frostfire she bounced up the track and skidded to a halt.
  “Hi Uncle Frostfire.” She purred.

Featherpaw nodded to Mushroompaw and then looked at his mentor again, "Ready to go!" He gave a wide grin and couldn't help but flex his claws in and out on the ground. He wondered what Mushroompaw was into doing. He thought it would probably either be wanting to go exploring or go hunting, since his sister wasn't exactly the fighting type. But Featherpaw decided he would be fine with whatever Frostfire chose.
"So, have you made up your mind of what we're going to do first?" the fawn apprentice asked his mentor, curiously.

Frostfire nodded and smiled briefly at Mushroompaw. He liked the young she-cat and enjoyed spending time with her.
Mushroompaw looked happily at him, he would often do what she asked if she asked it in the right way. As she was growing she was learning that most cats were like that. As long as you asked in the right way mostly they would be willing to do as requested.
“Nope.” Meowed Frostfire cheerfully as he heard his apprentices question. “I figure we’ll just play this by wing unless either of you two have some good ideas.”  The reddish warrior trotted up and out of the camp emerging into the forest undergrowth. He looked around and on a whim picked a tree to head up into the branches of.

Featherpaw nodded and followed after his mentor, into the forest undergrowth. He sat down and studied his mentor's eyes. They seemed to be looking at a tree. The apprentice's gaze followed his and looked at the branches of the tree.

What are we going to be doing?, he wondered to himself. He looked at Mushroompaw and wondered if she knew. He didn't feel like asking more questions though. Then, he studied his mentor's movements, maybe expecting something to come out of him.

Mushroompaw watched Frostfire curiously, she didn’t know what he was planning but she was hoping it would be interesting.
Frostfire for his part wasn’t paying attention to the apprentices, he had decided this would be a good tree and nodding his head climbed up it. He was not a natural tree climber like some LeafClanners were but he believed that it was an important skill and practiced his climbing often. This was a tree he often saw Shiningheart climb and he was hoping it would be a good one to teach his apprentice on.
“You two do much tree climbing yet?” he called down to them.

Featherpaw watched Frostfire with interest as he climbed up the tree.  His green eyes showed his excitement and as his mentor asked him if he'd done any tree climbing yet, he began to assume what they were doing.
"Uhh, I haven't. I didn't think tree climbing was all that important" That was true; Featherpaw didn't think much of tree climbing and what use was it? Well, it makes sense that we would need to know how to climb trees. Our territory is covered with them! The fawn apprentice turned his head towards his sister and asked her curiously, "Have you ever tree-climbed before?"

Mushroompaw looked thoughtful and nodded, “Yeah, I have theres that little tree by the creek in camp, I’ve climbed that.” She meowed. She had listened carefully to the elders tales and noticed that Heartwood would on rare occasion mention jumping down out of the trees onto things.
Frostfire flicker an ear with surprise. “Well, we’d better get you started then.” He meowed cheerfully.  “As a clan we have not been attacked for a long while but if you ever end up on a patrol with our deputy you’ll want to know this stuff. One of the reasons LeafClan is so rarely attacked is we can move patrols of warriors unseen right over the top of invaders and ambush them.” He meowed.

Cutie is his middle name, though he’d never admit it. LOL
Well he has not quite realized the manner in which he loves her quite yet.  But he is starting to. It should be fun to watch the two of them. Okay, its always fun to watch the two of them.
