Description
I do love sea monsters, I think I'll do some more Lovecraft based work at some point with a sea-theme.I actually did 90% of this in Photoshop on my work pc in some spare time before final tweaks at home (I love CS2 for quick layer manipulation). It almost killed my desktop at work, I'm so glad we're being given some nice new workstations. Dual core P4s, 2 gig RAM, fast HD, it'll be great to have a pc that's a match for my home one :} Anyway this is actually 20% of the original size I was working at which might explain the strain my work machine went through...
Oh yeah and a new DC pack is coming soonish... I promise ;}

This one looks like an under water mecha with feathers. Maybe that's why I like it. The lighting is great otherwise, but (at least the lower half of) the Leviathan itself looks a bit too well lit since the background suggests that it should be emerging from the shadowy depths of the ocean.

What I meant was 90% was Photoshop CS at work, the rest was Photoshop CS 2 at home I just like finishing off in CS2 because I can quickly manipulate lots of layers more easily in CS2

Nice work man, i really like the detail you used in the main shape/ object. and the blue underlaying fits very well. I know you see this as traditional, but i think its still pretty innovative

I prefer to keep my more experimental stuff for DC as I think it should be about pushing things forward... this is too traditional a piece really
