Description I do love sea monsters, I think I'll do some more Lovecraft based work at some point with a sea-theme.

I actually did 90% of this in Photoshop on my work pc in some spare time before final tweaks at home (I love CS2 for quick layer manipulation). It almost killed my desktop at work, I'm so glad we're being given some nice new workstations. Dual core P4s, 2 gig RAM, fast HD, it'll be great to have a pc that's a match for my home one :} Anyway this is actually 20% of the original size I was working at which might explain the strain my work machine went through...

Oh yeah and a new DC pack is coming soonish... I promise ;}

This is pretty much the own.

The colors work quite well together, the overall bluish tint makes me happy inside.

Is there any 3d work at all, or just Photoshop?

No it's all Photoshop this time, I did think about using Illustrator to get some of the background lighting right but didn't need to in the end.

And, I'm assuming each of the discs, or most (some?) are done individually, instead of a copy+paste job. They have slight differences that make it look good.

Yeah it's not just a case of copying and pasting again and again.

Yeah seriously man, you are arguably my favourite image manipulating artist here on devart, and i love playing "guess that graphic" with your work.

Love the central and largest curved graphic, get the impression that the object is in a state of automation and is fabricating itself in a clockwise rotation, contrasting the section of light exposed past the top perimeter of the object, which seems to be in an anti-clockwise motion, giving me the impression that this light expresses some sort of energy escape or relocation. Nice use of oceanic blues, as with the lighting of blues, signifying the penetrating rays of light from above the waterΒ΄s surface. Nice fodder for the perception.
