The silk bound books filled the shelves of the hivewing school library, far more than Blue was used to. In his own school cobwebs took up more space than the books did. These wealthier authors made use of vibrant silks on their covers, their golden stitches glistening in the light. The most dazzling thing in this library, however, was not the false-wood tables, nor was it the silk rugs, but rather the bright yellow and dappled brown dragon sitting in front of him. Her hexagonal glasses reflected the light of the nearby lamp, slightly obscuring her chestnut eyes. His savior was a… hivewing?
