That's so beautiful. I love the detail, and your style of drawing in general

thank you ^^ strange thing is that instead of getting MORE complicated the older I get and the more I draw, the less complicated patterns I draw now...I wonder why that is...

lol if that's all the patience I'm allotted in one lifetime I'm so screwed T_T especially if I want to be an animator...can you imagine having no patience when you have to draw 20 pictures per second of film? XD

You're welcome
Well, maybe you're running out of patience? I don't know... maybe all people are allotted a certain amount of patience in life, and... OK, I'm speaking gibberish, my apologies.

-wince- Oh dear... yes, that would be terrible. Especially since a lot of them have to look very, very similar, don't they? So drawing a lot of the same things over and over would be VERY difficult without patience... O_o

Great work. Very crisp and clean, yet hyper-detailed. Your line work is terriffic - I love the bold defining line. The way you handled the thin, light-detail work on the part of her face that is screened by the fan is great as well. The costume design is excellent. My one critique would be that I wish her face and eyes were more expressive as it is they strike me as just sort of blank.

thank you for the critique ^^ b. yeah at the time i drew this piece, i really didn't do expressions well >< I'm working on improving it slowly so .... /crosses my fingers and hopes for a better drawing next time around

any advice on how to make a more dynamic face?

advice on a more dynamic expressions? hmmm... A place to start is just to really examine how some of your favorite artists draw expressions and try incorporating whatever pieces of what they do that you like the best, or feels comfortable to you. Also, when you are watching movies and TV, start paying attention to the performances and how the actors' faces convey the emotions they're going through during a scene - does one eyebrow go up? do they look side to side? are their teeth showing? Eyelids droopy? Forehead bunched up? Head tilted? Try and catalogue every nuance you can spot for later use in your drawing.

One suggestion that'll make you look crazy when you're drawing in public... I tend to make faces when I'm trying to figure out an expression -it's just become habit and I probably look insane when I'm doing it - acting out the expression myself and judging by the feel of whats going on on my face translating that into my drawing.

Incredibly beautiful. Again I love the attention to minute detail, though the fur pattern on the foxes seems a bit out-of-place. Still a righteously beautiful piece, though.
