Keythongs are close relatives of griffin, except they exchanged their wings for a set of articulated spikes they can control individually. They tend to use these spikes to fend their freshly hunted prey from other predators like griffin.
And if these spikes aren't enough, they also have a spike on each forelimb they use as daggers and three spikes on the tip of their whip-like tail they use to lash at their enemies.
