It is very rare to see original Old Republic material and even rarer still to see the ships portrayed. For that alone this piece is a treat.
However when combined with the skill in recreating the original design of the vessel it really is a gem for Star Wars fans who are familiar with the source material and for anyone that might be seeking the learn more about the older Star Wars material.
In terms of creativity the ship is very traditional in its pose and the starscape behind it is hardly novel however this does little to detract from the artist's ability to render such an unusual design with such precision.

It is my favorite of all of the Tales of the Jedi era (all the way through TOR) ships, and was slightly disappointed that these type of designs didn't make their way into the KOTOR games. But here it is, courtesy of Adam Kopala.

Agreed, seems there were a lot of missed opportunities in TOR - and while they released some great designs initially, there was a *lot* of later stuff that was essential generic RPG fare that could have been dropped into just about any gaming universe...

Love this ship, it's design is so unique even in the Star Wars universe

Oh wow, I've always wanted to see a proper rendering of this ship since I saw it in my essential guide to vehicles and vessels.

its that asymmetrical? R there engines on that paraglider on its right? Cuz otherwise its gonna spin, not got forwards. Aditionally, the 1st glance makes it look, like the paraglider is the top and the cockpit is twisted

What isn't viewable from this angle is the second cluster of three engines, which would be behind the pulse-wave cannon, diagonally behind the main fuselage and tucked under the wing structure. Regarding the paraglider wing design, this is taken strictly from Christian Gossett's original design for the Nebulon Ranger. It may not make sense aerodynamically, but it is what it is, and Adam did a fine take on this craft, as he was commissioned to do.
