It's mostly just the colors. Yellow for his belly, blue/teal for his skin, and the brown for his shell. There wasn't any particular feature from squirtle I could see to incorporate makeup wise, so unfortunately he just got screwed with colors :/

I see. If I was gonna chose colours I wouldve picked a light blue and an orange since those are the colours I associate with squirtle (being the dominant colours in my mind). I don't know how that would look though since I have no makeup to try it on.

Yeah the thing I don't like about my pictures is they really don't do some of the colors justice. The blue/green I chose is actually very very blue, but my camera spazzed with the other colors making it look more green which bums me out. I see where you get the blue and orange though, they were 2 of the first colors that crossed my mind when thinking of Squirtle as well lol.
