Description
All four iterations of my phaser rifle papercraft.Background to foreground:
alpha: initial model- no textures, construction issues
beta: larger, major issues fixed, some marker textures
gamma: nearly complete, but some textures need tweaked
final: final model
The phaser rifle is from Star Trek and has seen multiple designs throughout the series. This papercraft is derived from the Phaser Compression Rifle (from the game Star Trek: Elite Force) and the Type-III Phaser Rifle from Star Trek: First Contact.

I may make a ship- probably a shuttlecraft. But that won't be any time soon.
And the process for making the papercraft wasn't hard... just a bit long. I basically made a 3D model of the rifle in Meshwork, used Pepakura Designer to unfold the design, and then did the graphics with Illustrator. With a lot of corrections along the way.
