Description

  Shadow had told Rouge he was going to help her hunt down some gems in town, as he didn't have much else to do and offered to assist her. She let him spend the night at her place that night. Shadow didn't particularly mind, and went to sleep prepared for the day ahead of him and his friend. He slept quite well, but it was when he woke up that the trouble began. He woke up, but he wasn't on the couch he had fallen asleep on, he was on Rouge's wood floor. What's worse, he was shrunken down to an incredibly small size. He couldn't have been any larger than an inch.

  Confused, but keeping his calm, Shadow decided the best thing to do would be to get Rouge's attention. If anyone could get him out of this, she was his best option. Teleporting to her with Chaos Control wouldn't be an option, unfortunately, as there were no Chaos Emeralds nearby, so he was stuck travelling on foot. Even Shadow, "the ultimate life form", took a while to travel from place to place while the size of a bug, even if that place was no more than a few steps away for a normal person. After running for what seemed like 30 minutes, slipping under the doorway of her room to get in, Shadow had reached Rouge's bedside. The giant bat's boots rested neatly next to her bed.


  "Now I just need to climb that bed," Shadow had told himself, though he wouldn't even need to waste the effort, as the blankets far above began rustling. She was awake.

  "Mmm! Haven't slept that good in a long while!" the gigantic bat yawned, stretching her arms above her. She shifted her body from her bed, revealing two gigantic legs leading to two even more gigantic bare feet to the tiny Shadow. Shadow was intimidated by the gigantic figure of Rouge sitting before him, but was still determined to get her attention.

  "Rouge! Down here! I need help!" The black hedgehog waved his hands and yelled, hoping for Rouge to hear him.

  "Hmm. Shadow? You up yet?" Rouge called out the open doorway from her room leading to the living room Shadow had slept in. She could not hear the tiny hedgehog below her dangling feet. She pushed herself off the bed, her feet making a large thoom as they hit the ground, throwing Shadow off balance.

  Regaining his stance, Shadow looked up as the gigantic bat stood up. It boggled his mind how this girl, not any taller than him last night, was now towering over him at a height that seemed taller than any skyscraper he had ever encountered. He began to run to the door, as he knew if she couldn't hear him there was no point in scampering around in a place he could be stepped on. Rouge however, had also began walking to her bedroom door. With each falling footfall from the bat, Shadow was thrown a bit into the air by the tremors. This made it hard to keep his balance and maintain his speed, both of which he would need to outrun her. A simple step for her was a field to sprint for him, but he was determined to get away.

  Finally reaching the door, Shadow slipped under the doorway once more, and not a second later the giant bat swung said door open.

  "Shadow? Are you still asleep?" Her voice boomed in Shadows ears, as the gust of wind created from her opening the door threw him into the air for what seemed like miles. He landed face-first on the wood floor, seeing Rouge far behind him investigating the couch he was sleeping on last night.

  "What the hell? Did he ditch me?" Rouge questioned.

  "I gotta get out of here," Shadow told himself as he began sprinting for the door to her house.

  "Ugh. Asshole. Whatever. I guess I should make some breakfast," Rouge said as she began walking toward her kitchen. Unfortunately for Shadow, this was the exact same direction as her front door. He had to run while he still had some distance on her.

  Boom! Boom! Boom! Rouge's gigantic footfalls got closer and closer in no time at all. Shadow's efforts to run had been in vain.

  "Where could he have gone off to..." Rouge said in wonder, unaware that her colossal foot was hovering above her shrunken friend below.

  "ROUGE NO-," Shadow screamed, but it was too late, the bat had stomped him flat under her bare foot, as she continued toward her kitchen none the wiser.
