its a very nice photo, cos the colours are very well matched, i like!! except, u could have done something abt the shadow on the right side...

No, it's not a sunflower. I'm just very bad with titles. It's some purple flower growing outside around my house. They're usually a deep purple, but the bright light behind it makes it seem pink.

Was this a manip? I always thought sunflowers were yellow?

I like the lighting on this - it's always good to see people choose interesting angles for their shots. The contrast between the centre of the flower and the gentle translucense of the petals works really nicely. Good job!

oh it's beautiful. I'm almost jealous. I tried somehting like this with a blackeyed susan last week, but all the luck wasn't on my side. For one thing I don't have a macro lens, and for another the sun was quickly setting, so the light was becoming less and less intense as I tried. But I like this and the colors are so pretty. You didn' even have to sacrfice exposure on the flower or the sky and I like that. i'm going to go check out the rest of you gallery.
