This is actually a really interesting head canon... although, it would seriously hurt us a lot, considering that ALL of this means A LOT to Twilight and and all of Equestria.
The headcanon was... "what if all this time, Celestia was using Twilight for everything that she had gotten?"

Celestia: Now, Twilight... T-There is an explanation. It's not as bad as you think...
Twilight: ...W-What do you mean, "not as bad as I think?"
Celestia: Twilight, please... Let me explain...
Twilight: *thinks* (No... Please...!)
Celestia: Twilight Sparkle... *puts a hoof around her* I've been watching you ever since you were born. I always knew you were one of the most powerful Unicorns who ever lived, even before you performed your entrance exam. I always had faith in you. I somehow knew you were the right pony to take on what I failed to achieve: bringing the magic of friendship to all of Equestria… and beyond. So when you were old enough, your parents enrolled you, and you passed with flying colors. I've never been so proud of one of my students before... and all my students had something special. But you... You seemed like you'd finally be... "the one." That's why I've been guiding you so closely, Twilight. I knew you're the right pony to undo the Nightmare Forces.
Twilight: I... I don't understand... You're FULLY capable of running the kingdom! You're... You're nice and sweet, and you'd do anything to help your people!
Celestia: Yes, but as my track record clearly proves, I always do it the wrong way. In only a year, you managed to make more progress in bringing peace to our world than I have during my 1,500-year rule. In many ways, you and your friends accomplished things I wrote off as impossible!
Twilight: Celestia… Did you even try...?
Celestia:
Twilight: No... This can't be...! All this time, I thought it's because you wanted me to be happy! I thought you cared about me and what I thought! So what was it?! Did you really have faith in me, or were you just looking somepony to handle all the heavy lifting?! I may be strong, but I still have limits!
Celestia: I... I thought making you a Princess would make you happy...
Twilight: ...Wait. So... you just ASSUMED that I wanted to be a high-profile target?! You think I like all the mudslinging that the Canterlot nobles do with me?! And what about Tempest Shadow, huh?! Do you think I liked being in a spot where I almost had to kill her, when she didn't really deserve it?!
Celestia: N-No...
Twilight: I-I-I don't believe this! I followed you because I looked up to you!!! I let you make me an Alicorn because I thought this was my destiny!!! I trusted you!!! And you... you just see me as the pony that'll take on the responsibilities you didn't fulfill! And NOW... you don't want to feel bad about what you've done, and what you didn't do, so now you're trying to tell me what I want?!
Celestia: *sniffle*
Twilight: *sobs* I don't believe this... K-Kamek was right about you... Do you have... any IDEA... what my friends and I went through...? Heartache after heartache, trial after trial, every day we have new nightmares to behold... You... You barely even scratched at the surface of it... *sets crown on floor*
Celestia: *gasp*
Twilight: Tell me... is the Element of Magic even right for me? *shakes head, quietly leaves*
Celestia: (She reaches out her hoof.) Twilight... (Her voice is barely a whisper...) C-Come back...
