ok, I may come off as mean when saying this, so I apologize in advance if I do.
I'm ok with genderbends when it's just for fun like the genderbend version of Adventure Time, that one's actually pretty cool. But when I see fans do genderbends for ships, I just CANNOT stand it!!!! Because when they do that, they usually only change one of the character's gender, and they almost always do it with a ship that was originally a gay or lesbian ship. Like this one for example, here Fluttershy is changed to a guy, but Rainbow is still a girl, which I just outright DO NOT like. The only reason I see fans do it is cause they're homophobic or are against homosexuals in general. Plus, changing a fictional character's gender is just something I DO NOT like when they only do it just so it can be ok with their views and opinions. Look, if you don't like homosexual ships or just don't like it in general, then that's fine, you don't have to like it, it's your opinion. I just don't think you should try changing a character's gender just so it can be ok with your opinions. Fluttershy is a girl and Rainbow Dash is a girl, their gender's should NOT be changed just so it can be a ship that's ok with you, and this goes for ALL fictional characters as well! If you don't like the ship, then just ignore it and move on!!! NOT everything is gonna turn out the way you want it, and you should NEVER try and change it, cause it's just not worth it. I'm sorry for sounding mean, but I just DO NOT like it when I see people do this, it just makes me so mad! Oh btw, me and Shutters are good friends, so we were ok with each other's opinions. Okay. Well don't you think you're taking this a little too seriously? After all while I can understand the implications this ideas isn't that new of a concept not to mention just because ont person does that doesn't make them homophobic Besides I see artist do this all the time with straight pairings as well.

Maybe I am, but I just can't help but get mad when people do that. Also, I never said those kinds of pairings are bad, besides those ones are different, they're pairings of characters who are still their original gender, and even though I don't really like those pairings, I can still respect them, except flashlight, I hate Flash. In case you're wondering, I don't insult anyone if they do pairings I don't like, I usually just ignore it, even if I get mad, I tell myself to not bother the person and just go to something else. I'm sorry if I'm sounding mean in any way, but changing a character's gender is just something I DO NOT like at all.

Well at the end of the day it's just art. And it's not meant to be taken seriously. Besides that's what I personally like about gender bending. Is that they're are no limitations. As for Flashlight. Well considering my fanart and the fact that I'm one of Flash's supporters I think it's obvious where I stand on that.
