Trixie making a return this season is going to be SOOO big! Judging by the synopsis of "No Second Prances", it seems to me that Trixie may possibly be turning bad again.
My head canon started mixing things together and the result is Trixie giving Starlight bad advice.
I guess we will just have to see for ourselves this Saturday!

I love seeing these two together. Not for shipping reasons but because they're both misunderstood ponies who've seen the error of their ways and are genuinely trying to better themselves, which makes them the perfect friend for each other.

I gotta be honest I hated Trixie before, but I yanked the character perspective handbrake after this episode. In terms of morals and overall appeal of character behavior, this is the episode that parents could relate to the most IMO.

So, Starlight was only friends with Spike for as long as he was convenient to her portion of the plot. But now that she has a friend who fits the same demographic as the rest of the Mane Six, she has no more need for him. I suddenly really don't like Trixie.

She's as much a friend to Spike as she is to the other friends she already has. Trixie is just special to Starlight since they relate to each other and have things in common. That doesn't mean that she's abandoning Spike as a friend. I don't even know how you came to that conclusion
