And I totally agree, bears certainly need more love, they're very underrated indeed! I really want to draw some bears eventually, ha... (plus I have a character who has a bit of a thing for bears, maybe one day I could draw him as a bear, hehe...)

This is a wonderful piece. The lighting and colors in the background gives a warm, summery/early autumn atmosphere, which works well for this guy. The detail of his fur is amazing (how do you do it omg), especially with that gentle glow of the light. His soulful eyes definitely show personality, he looks like a kindly bear. Everything about this works well together. Beautiful work.

This looks so beautiful! I really love the backlighting-it gives such a pleasant atmosphere to the piece. I love how you've paid such close attention to the direction of the fur-it really, I think, brings out the sweetness in the bear. Combined with the lighting, I really get the impression that this bear is very sweet-natured. And 3 hours! Wow! Again, simply amazing!
