I have to agree with ~TjGk on this one, the text is too thin (it's not scalable for when you're making business cards), I think you'd be better off with a bold sans serif font... and... well, less 3D
... When I look at the logo, I have trouble focusing on it because I am unsure if the point between the D, the G and the C is the closest point to my face or the furthest -- I presume you mean for it to be the closest, but it still seems ambiguous to me.
I also think you're trying to accomplish too much by fitting your entire logo on the cube. Here are some other logos that use cubes for comparison: [link] [link] [link] which don't strike me as extremely memorable, or even all that easy to read because the text is so small compared to the entire logo.
I think you need to go with something simpler, the traditional image with text to the right seems like it would improve organization while freeing you up to do more with the image itself... I need to figure out how to animate in CAD because I have some ideas for an animation to introduce a simpler logo...

As much as your thoughts on this are sound, no one that I've handed out an actual card to seems to think this way. In fact they remember my company based solely on that unique logo, and that the card is in itself unique with the black/white/black striping. The card is also glossy which adds a professional touch, that a 'lain paper' card would be missing, it is on heavier than normal stock so it feels a bit more solid in the hand than the average business card. - All in all, the card is very effective, and so is the unique logo.

Might want to make your typeface bolder. The thickness is fine for something like this, but once your logo gets shrunk down (which it inevitably will for one thing or another), will it still be recognizeable?

Strangely enough deviantART is showing it much darker than it looks on two different computers in my place -

Your skills are good, but for anything for my corp you may not use Daz|Studios. (as it's copyright is very strict on the non-commercial usage of 90% of their products.
The Typeface is called Castellar.

Thank you - it's actually a simple black cube with the logo on 3 of it's sides rendered with a single lamp 'center aimed' (ie it's directly in line with the camera), no other 'extra' settings were used, the UV map was done with GIMP - the black is the all '0's one

If you haven't seen it yet, there's an option called "Shadeless" in the Blender material settings. This makes it so no light calculation is performed on the selected material at all - it's just its basic color all the time. No lights needed. Try it! :3

I have - I wasn't sure it would 'take away from' the 3d look after it was rendered ..

Understandable. However, most peoples' eyes are easily convinced into seeing a perspective - the lines of the text should be enough.

Forgot to mention that this works exactly like the Surface Shader in Maya, if that helps you or anyone at all.
