If you need help modeling I may be able to deliver. Currently I'm doing models for Infinity: The Quest for Earth, however.

My Modeling is no issue - I'm getting good at that part - I just suck at unwrapping and re-wrapping the UV in order to do the texturing the way I want...

Looks nice but you should turn on Ambient Occlusion in your renders. Believe me it really makes a difference.

I don't have it on as I am only using these renders to show progress - and I'm not doing the texture for this one as it is part of a rather large project to 'build' a video game.

Thanks for the comment

Yah, but then it'll do EXACTLY what I want it to do.

Wagon? Futuristic, post holocaust wagon?

But it's still good, don't misunderstand me...

Actually, think gypsy wagon style - but it has modern tires on it, still pulled by horses (two - but those aren't being used in this particular game, at least that I know of (as there was no request for a horse model to be created)

It will be modern as it has computers and handheld electronic devices... (I can't tell everything about it)

Ah! I think I've seen similar modern gypsy wagons. You planning car based, or truck bed type?

Been there, seen that! How are the textures coming along?

The springs are exquisite! BTW!

What are the chances you can do something besides gray? It seems drab, but not dingy, or new.

As this is for a game and it will have a 'mat' file associated with it - in game it will be old and beat down looking...

I have been assigned the texture for this, so erm everyone will see it in it's 'ast prime' state soon enough...

Well, I'm having some issues unwrapping and re-wrapping the UVMap on Blender (as in I have no clue what I'm doing on that .... )

I've managed to unwrap, though the entire top half of the model is in the top tenth of my template!

It's still a mystery to me, I'm having someone else unwrap it for me Then I'll texture it up and have them wrap it back on and send me a file of the 'finished' 'textured' Construction Wagon....

The wrap it back on part could very well be just a straight-forward apply. Not sure on that. You might need some kind of materials preset file too.

Yeah, I've been reading some tutorials on it.

There's a freebie plugin/stand-alone program called Deep Paint. It produces bump and highlight files for whatever image you're working on. Download.com. I haven't really tried it out yet, but it looks pretty helpful for making textures.

SiathLinux In reply to markopolio [2007-09-11 18:14:27 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I can do the bump maps and highlights - no issue - lining up an image well there now, that is an whole 'nother issue for me.

Ugh! You might as well have Gimp and blender open at the same time for that! Move and save, and check, and move and save... A painful process, no matter how you slice it.

SiathLinux In reply to markopolio [2007-09-12 17:10:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I tried that but it useless - getting it to do it right is the only solution...

markopolio In reply to SiathLinux [2007-09-13 23:31:51 +0000 UTC]

The solution of UV peeling it is the only other way. And I've been having virtually no success with that one. I got a temporary freebie from DAZ. Hexagon. Which seems to offer the seam definition, and UV unwrapping. Truespace was too much of a pain, though I think it may be able.
