Description
This is the new background for my new Icon - realized it was hard to see small
- so I decided to submit the original image.I made the tread on the rim (it's not a texture) -
3856 Verts and 3873 Faces.

This is a really nice render.. the shadow and the reflection is awesome

It took me about 50 test renders to get all of the 'mirrors' to look the way I wanted to - mostly getting the tire/rim into the right location, camera angled correctly, materials settings I'm already fairly decent at... A lot of my renders don't have an 'actual texture' as they are just color of material and the various settings for light/shading/hardness/reflect that seem to make the difference. (that and I've really been working at learning some of the secrets of using Blender effectively)

I've already put Blender on the temp. system I'm running and making a more complex tread pattern and a more complex rim style

The tread pattern is fine! People look at the rims anyway.

Yeah - next one will not be so time consuming as I worked out some short cuts to doing my tread pattern
The next rim will be a nice round spoke on (like the car I pointed out the other day)
