Since last night I had a few thoughts about body shapes, but decided to post here as I have a bit more space.
When it comes down to it, girls come in different shapes and sizes. A girl could have big [something] and small [something else], or vice verca, and all sorts of combinations in-between. But there's a tendency to look at specific body types and perceive them as the "standard", and girls wind up aspiring for a figure that contradicts their natural shape.
For example, you might think of yourself as having large thighs … but compared to what? It's pretty much an unfair comparrison to people who are shaped differently. With that in mind, you look perfectly fine to me. 
Hope you don't mind my rambling; it was just a bunch of thoughts I felt like sharing. ^^

Heh, it's all good. I know what I look like and sometimes it's hard. It's the whole "being a girl" thing and constantly comparing yourself to everyone else, and like you said, "the norm".

While on the subject, I found I've gotten a bit of a pudgy belly in recent years. I kinda envy my brother because his weight tends to be more evenly distributed. Even when he was a fair bit overweight, it wasn't all that obvious. Not really a big deal, but still. Though we have a treadmill now, so maybe some regular walking will help. ^^
