Created for the ILM Artstation challenge.
The Brief: Design two (2) new Star Wars vehicles within the aesthetic of Episodes IV - VI. They can be Rebel, Imperial, or utilitarian — your choice; anything from a giant starship to a land speeder. Be sure to finish your images by placing the vehicles within the context of an environment. We want to see the story — not the blueprints.

The Rebel armada has grown significantly over the course of the war with the Empire. Y-wings and B-wings are used for bombings. A-wings as the interceptor, and the X-wing as the all purpose fighter. With each victory, more influential citizens have come to side with the Rebellion to provide funds, intelligence, or seek asylum. These citizens are now a favorite target of the Empire. In response, the Rebellion has commissioned a new ship designated solely for escort missions. The "S-wing" fighter is designed to fly alongside their allies to provide protection against Imperial attacks. In a departure from the traditional S-foil design, the foils on the "S-wing" do not lock. Instead, they are able to rotate 180 degrees for enhanced target acquisition. Two astromech droids help the pilot to aim the eight rotating cannons.
