Description
This set focuses on two things: pouring into glasses, and figures underwater. It has three realistic pouring meshes with separate objects for bubbles and liquid inside the included glasses. It has bubble objects both 3D and transmapped (both types are in this image). It also has four water volume objects with simmed surfaces, because most pools in the store have a 2D water plane instead of a volume, and having an actual volume there makes a big difference to how things look in Iray because of how the physically based renderer treats flat things vs. things that have volume. Genesis 3 Female is inside one of the included volumes here (unlike in 3Delight it's easy to get an under-the-surface look from a water volume in Iray).
Rendered in Daz Studio Iray, postwork for brightness/contrast and slight denoisification in the GIMP.

Very impressive ...and also use GIMP for postwork when desired. You make it look very easy, lol. I'm very new to DAZ and find it quite complex and have no idea what many tools are for but love seeing talented artists like yourself and others who can turn out such realistic renders.

This was the first picture from all the products in DAZ, where I really could feel the water around her and so I bought it and I do not regret it.

Can I animate with this? I want to animate characters jumping into water (I need to make a splash!)

Absolutely not. For that you need an actual fluid simulation (like the new Fluidos plugin, or an external program like Blender or Realflow).

Thanks! I'm really blown away by how many people responded to this one. I hope that's reflected in the store, lol.

Nicely done, I really like the bubble effect and the way her hair floats in the water.
Cheers.

You mean in 3Delight? Technically yes but practically you'd be sorry, lol. You would have to apply a 3Delight shader to everything (I'd use UberSurface2) and then change its settings to minimize lag from the refraction, and it would still take a dog's age to render anything because 3Delight is very, very slow at refraction.
I also don't think 3Delight can actually handle the appearance of the interior of a refractive volume as used in the picture. Because the normals point outward I'm pretty sure 3Delight would show a black surface instead of the water surface I have here. There was a separate product for 3Delight Marshian did for underwater renders for that reason:

Then it should still work.

the only difference is how 4.8 handles shaders/textures.

Awesome Image, Which version of Poser are you using? Or, are you using Daz Studio?

SickleYield In reply to jjcasano [2017-03-08 16:34:56 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! It's Daz studio 4.9 Pro. Poser does not have the Iray render engine and the product is for Iray. Even before Iray, though, I've worked exclusively with DS for a while now.

I use Daz Studio Pro also, I find it renders much better than poser. I also have the Reality Render. I do love the Iray renderer though. I have Poser Pro 2014 which is not the newest version
but I still use Daz more the Poser. But you do great work.

Looks very good. The problem with many products in the store is, that they have not been designed for iray, especially environments.
I´m guessing your product will help solve that at least for any pool area

I sure hope so! It had four volumes for replacing pool water
