Description Accepted for testing at DAZ3D, hopefully for the PA sale.

This one was just impossible.  I'm sure you can tell to what it is a homage, but that air-and-water emulsion of a billion tiny droplets just couldn't happen without creating a prop of really unreasonable resolution (and DAZ rejected my original "actual falling water splat" concept).

There's no postwork here, that's all Iray's bloom filter plus the set's steam cube.  The chair and pose are also included of course (for the G2's as well, though this is Genesis 3 Female).

Great render, how you created these waters splash.

Cool, looks very nice. I guess to what this is a homage is a movie from the '80s which I had to (yes, had to! ) watch at least three times in the cinema. Just don't ask about VHS or DVD, I didn't count.
I guess this won't will be animatable?

Not in the way you want, probably.  It's got a rig, but it's a series of bones from the top of the jet area to the cloud.  You can't animate it as falling water, that would require a fluid simulation.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Cascading water drops! (Or embers, or plasma, or rain of blood, or...... THANK YOU!)

Ok, I need an ETA STAT!

Also, I know you are busy making great products, but any chance you can cover emissives and bloom in your iRay guides? I'm loving iRay as I play around, but the lack of documentation is a setback in terms of progress.

Well, it got through testing amazingly fast, but I don't know when the release date is.  September, certainly.

Sure, I'll add that to the "tutorials to do" bucket.

Looks very nice - is it possible that there could be a feature like sweat dripping from the skin or like water when it sprays from wet hair when the head moves fast (like in the Dirty Dancing scene)?
Or maybe that you will do such a product in future? (Exnem produced such a feature for V4. It works like a body suit which is over the basic V4 figure and can be distorted  - you can see the effect on my pic here: The Rematch 09)

Maybe at some point.  If this one does well there will be another Rigged Water Iray set - I have more ideas.  If you just want a droplet suit, now, V3Digitimes has a great one of those upcoming.

But ... the original actually IS a falling water splat! What did they object to?

Regardless, this does look very impressive.

I wonder if they'll save your item and V3Digitimes' products for a sort of "wet day" theme? It would be logical, and they'd work well together. Water that does stuff, wet-looking skin, liquid droplets on skin, maybe a surfboard or a sailboat, a barely-there bikini (there's always a barely-there bikini), it would totally work!

SickleYield In reply to vwrangler [2015-08-30 21:50:04 +0000 UTC]

Well, basically they said "the droplets are too large" three times in a row.

I hope they do!  That V3D set looks amazing.

Oh this looks good!!!!!!  I don't like comparisons with other PA's work, but there was a 'similar' product I looked at a while back and decided not to get, hoping that something like this would arrive!

I use your first Rigged Water for magical effects (potions bubbling out of cauldrons), through Reality 4, set as either glass or water. The results have been phenomenal. Can't wait for this one.
