#pokeddex 2018 day 24: first pokemon memory -ponyta-story time!
my first encounters with pokemon were in grade school during the Big Pokemon Craze that gripped every kid in my generation. everyone had pokemon cards, games, stuff--except me. I was so desperate to have something, anything that was pokemon related, and my little friends were kind enough to give me one of their cards--and it was this very basic, base set ponyta. I TREASURED that card, I made kites out of ponyta, drew it endlessly--it felt like it was finally MY pokemon. so ponyta will always have a special place in my heart. <3
