Description The Fire Skull was a natural follow up to the Fire Face - To go in front of a 9-MILLION BTU hot air balloon burner. This was made from NEW 1/4 plate steel. It warped some, but did not melt. Built in Oakland with other members of the Department of Spontaneous Combustion, concept and patterns by me!

Steal away! A great place to start is with a balsa wood sculpture that you buy. This was based on the plans for a whole skeleton. I took the parts I needed from the working model and redrew them with extra details. Nested and blew them up to fit the sheets of steel (2 @ 4x8) then it just took 6 people a day to cut it all out, drill patterns and weld it together!

Make sure you take photos and post any cool stuff you make! I'd love to see it!
