Yeah, I didn't know how to say this before because I didn't want to detract from your work, but some of the imagery and themes remind me of Mike Mignola. To me that's a compliment, and you do definitely have your own thing going on, no question. There are certain elements that resonate in a kind of kindred way with his images and themes. Anyway, great piece.

haha. Hey, could you swing by my gallery if you get a free moment, I would respect any criticism you would have for my work. Much of my traditional art is done live with a band, and it would be sweet if you could catch a show, were in the california bay area, not sure where youre from. LA?

Cool stuff! Are you mainly working in pastels?

I can't believe you set fire to your art during the show, do you take a picture first or is lost forever and only a memory?

I'm in the LA area, I don't really get to the Bay that often but if you ever have a schedule of shows and I'm in the area I will try to make it to a show. If anything to see you burn your art! I don't throw anything away so that is crazy to me.

Haha, you'll love it, it's beautiful. I've timed it so that the flames go with the music. I try hard to get pictures of things I've never drawn before, because I try to draw new stuff every time. If I draw something new and set fire to it, I try to revisit the emotion again, and try to recreate it. I give away much of the stuff i draw live, because I've learned that it means more to our listeners/viewers than if I horded it, and stored it in my closet with the rest of my art. I keep 1 out of ten live pieces if they are too hard to let go of. It's crazy what some people who suffer from depression have said about my art because it intertwines "darkness" and "hope" together in a non confrontive way that anyone can grasp. I have a few regulars who are trying to get as many of my pieces so they can cover their walls. Wierd. haha.

Yea, I do to. Monsters fighting monsters is a theme I like to use over and over.

It makes me feel crummy I didn't snatch a copy of your DVD before it sold out, seeing as how people keep on passing over the pilot it seems.
