A photo I took at sunset while riding with my son in Austin, TX. He noticed the cloud formation and told me to look. I immediately saw the Phoenix. It seemed to be emerging from the furnace of the sun as it was dropping below the horizon. I scrambled to get my camera out of my back pack before the shot was gone. I got three shots off and this was the pick of the litter.
