Hi! Actually!
Stylization doesn't need to follow realism completely. It seeks simplification of objects and forms, because they're more aesthetically pleasing. Check out how comic and cartoon arts reduce details. It's perfectly logical, because you need to draw lots of things, you need to simplify them. But if you simplify one thing, you gotta simplify another one too, so if you give characters cartoony appearance, and then give them realistic details like knees, it looks uncomfortable and odd to look at.
I just wanted to say, for all other artists taking a look at your tutorial, that it's okay to simplify things, not something you should avoid. It actually (imho) aesthetically fits better in styles that heavily rely on simplification.

Heya!
I have nothing against stylization! In fact I encourage it! This tutorial is simply for the realistic version. Imo it's important to know the basics of a certain body part to be able to stylize things ;v;/
Thank you for your input!

This is super helpful for me! I always struggle with legs. I know I have to do studies and sketches to learn how to draw them but your tutorial is a very nice and simple explanation on how knees work. Thanks a lot! ΓΆvΓΆ

It really help me so much! Thanks! Now i know exactly where i'm lacking at now , but if i can ask, is this principle works with when we try to draw fat people? Does fat/chubby people especially at their legs, still have their leg's bones visible? Once again thank you for mkaing this simple easy and cool tutorial

no problem!! I'm glad I could help some way!
yes!!! The curve still applies, as well as the bones, tho less prominently! Here I made a visual:Β imgur.com/a/rwYPq
The ankle almost ALWAYs is still visible, even if reduced by just a notch. The knee's basic shape however MAY be obscured or sometimes completely deformed due to the skin/tissue around and on top of it, but there will still be a fold there! Hope this answered your question! Disclaimer that I'm no expert, this is just what I know from my experience ;v;/

If the leggie isn't hot enough to fry eggs you just aren't doing it right.
In all seriousness though this was very useful. Never knew legs curved in like that :0
