Description I gave you permission to rape my mind
And knock down the walls that my thoughts hide behind
You unraveled my secrets that kept me sane
And tasted the blood that flows through my veins
It feels so good to have you here
A precious light when you are near
It haunts me ever so very sweetly
When you whisper, "Dear, just listen briefly."
And you hold me, quiet and still
Yet unprotected from the ill
You pushed me into the flames one night
And when I got burned you said, "It's all right.
I'm here to catch you if you fall,
To mend your bones, but I'll tell you all:
The only one really there is you
For I speak words that are not true
And I won't save you from yourself
I cannot rescue you from that wealth;
The rich and powerful greeds of life."
I don't like what I hear
I turn out the light
And your shadow is there
So quiet and still
But you will not protect me
From the ill

I mean wowies this is so
mellifluously written and
I have to extol you in your nescience of being a poet.

I like this... a lot... i like the idea of having a savior..of some sort. I also like how it tells a story. hmm....

"I gave you permission to rape my mind

You unraveled my secrets that kept me sane
And tasted the blood that flows through my veins"

that is just simply beautiful and i think most people can relate. Good job. You certaintly ARE a poet!
