Description
Wake upStare my body in the mirror
Tonight
The other girls stare
They smile
The cherubic laughter of a child
And like a child
They sit
They are hand in hand
With each other\'s eyes
Watery blue droplets
I watch the salt drip to their lips
Alone in the world
Alone with their decision
They dare to love
They dare to love each other.
The outside world
Stands and watches
As bystanders, of lives unknown to them
The nerve they have,
Calling it wrong
And they kiss
Affectionately
Obliviously
Knowing, it will be okay
Better someday
Because they have stood up, inside
To the cold outside world.
